JaWar - photographed by Will Power(By Toya Bryant) Many business professionals and musicians have benefited from the expertise of a man simply known as JaWar (pronounced jah-whar) an Atlanta area motivational/inspirational speaker, author and Business Consultant. According to his website Jawarspeaks.com, “He speaks and consults on personal achievement, Internet marketing, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), monetizing (making money online) your Internet presence, book publishing and the music business.” His philosophy is that people can get more out of life when they THINK, PLAN, EXECUTE.

Originally from Los Angeles JaWar moved to Atlanta twelve years ago. He started his career as a recording artist in high school. At an early age JaWar had a speech impediment and discovered that rhyming helped him to not stutter this led to him becoming a rapper. While also in high school JaWar started his first recording company and later while in college at Clark Atlanta University he started his second recording company. He also began a music conference called Music Therapy 101 designed to bring music information to Atlanta college students and industry professionals.

Atlanta Music Industry Connection by JaWarJaWar moved his message to print when he started publishing a newspaper titled The MIC (Music Industry Connection). He went on to publish his first book in 2004 called Atlanta Music Industry Connection. The book contained practical information for beginners as well as seasoned professionals across all genres of music and is designed to help them move forward in their careers. It also serves as a directory for the Atlanta Music Industry.

He also wrote a book called “Music Industry Connection - The Truth About: Record Pools & Music Conferences Talent Shows & Open Mics”; all part of a series of books on the music industry. JaWar’s theory is that the recording industry is owned and operated by large multinational conglomerates that are not artists or musicians and have interests in other business areas. That their agenda is to make money and he feels that musicians have to align themselves with like-minded people to be protected. JaWar’s efforts are insuring that many artists have and are doing that.

What’s next for JaWar? He is developing a project that will allow very large and intimate events to be broadcast via the Internet and mobile technology that will focus on ways to THINK, PLAN, EXECUTE to be happy, healthy, and wealthy.
