Usher's New Look Foundation will host up to 500 youth from around the globe, including the U.K., Africa and Asia, at the World Leadership Conference and Awards at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta from July 20th - 22nd. The Conference theme, "One World Powered By Service," will focus on two days of substantive workshops and panels led by New Look youth, as well as newsmakers, business leaders, artists, musicians, journalists and local personalities. The Conference will culminate on Friday, July 22nd with the second annual World Leadership Awards at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

ONE MusicFest announces "State of the Atlanta Music Scene" Press Conference and Roundtable at Park Tavern

The Mayor's Office of the City of Atlanta welcomes the second annual ONE MusicFest. As seen on CNN, Vibe Magazine, the Atlanta Journal Constitution and more, the ONE MusicFest  indoor/ outdoor concert experience and seafood fest will take place in over 20,000 square feet of green space at the beautiful Park Tavern concert space. This week, ONE MusicFest organizers to host the "State of the Atlanta Music Scene".  "There is a lack of representation for soul, progressive hip-hop, alternative and rock, represented under one roof, in the format of music festivals in Atlanta. We have noticed that while there are many pockets of individuals that share taste in the same music, rarely do you see them share in this together. ONE MusicFest was created with the idea of music as the universal language. Over time we aim to grow this fest into a phenomenon and bring together different sectors of individuals through a unique music platform," states J Carter, Sol -Fusion Founder and ONE MusicFest Producer.

Leading real estate firm begins the most comprehensive adaptive reuse project in Atlanta history

Jamestown, a leading real estate investment firm headquartered in Atlanta, announced today that it has closed on the acquisition of the historic Sears, Roebuck & Company building located on Ponce de Leon Avenue. It plans to restore the 2.1 million square-foot property as a mixed-use development named Ponce City Market.Jamestown purchased the property, currently referred to as City Hall East, from the city of Atlantafor $27 million, including an initial $15.5 million payment at closing. The remaining balance will be paid to the city after the development achieves certain milestones.
