Tastemaker Magazine presents the first awards brunch to celebrate the wildly popular fashion and beauty bloggers who happen to call Atlanta home. Atlanta's Internet glitterati will convene on March 24th at the Ambient Plus Studios to see who will win the coveted titles for Tastemaker Magazine's B. FAB Awards (Bloggers in Fashion + Beauty Awards), including awards for Best Style Blazer, Best Fashion Thrifter,Best Beauty Blogger and Best Hair Blogger to name a few categories.

Black History Month Parade Planned for Atlanta

The largest celebration of Black History Month in America takes place in Atlanta at the Black History Month Parade

The Black History Month Parade committee has announced that it will hold the annual parade celebrating Black History Month in beautiful downtown Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, February 23, 2013.  The Black History Month Parade celebrates the culture, heritage, history and accomplishments of African-Americans in the US and abroad.

On September 28-29, 2012, Hip Hop scholars, educators, students and artists are convening at the Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library in Atlanta, Georgia for the Tupac Amaru Shakur Collection Conference. The academic conference, "Hip Hop, Education, and Expanding the Archival Imagination," explores the life and work of Tupac Shakur and Hip Hop archives and studies.

Doug E. Fresh - "The original human beatbox" - will headline and emcee the halftime show of the 24th annual Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic to be themed "One Love. One Music. One Culture." - it was announced today by the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, a volunteer community organization focused on education, empowerment and enrichment in African-American youth that presents the game. The halftime show will also feature the award-winning Southern University marching band, dubbed the Human Jukebox.

The National Association For Minority Truckers Brings 500,000 Jobs Initiative To The Atlanta Area

NAfMT has partnered with JobsInTrucks, McLane Food Service and Georgia Power to host a transportation career expo in the Atlanta area.

NAfMT is answering the call for jobs and hosting the first annual Transportation Career Expo in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia International Convention Center on July 12th, 2012 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
