Dr. Aisha Baron (Lifetime TV) of the premier Breast Body Beauty Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery hosted BRA Day Atlanta on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at her Windy Hill practice. The event honored all the strong women who have endured a breast cancer diagnosis. All women deserve to know their breast reconstruction options to help close the loop on breast cancer.
Dr. Baron is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, who has a special interest in breast reconstruction and breast and body contouring. Owner of Breast Body Beauty Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, she has earned the nickname “BreastNBodyDoc,” due to her expertise in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Her surgical skill was featured nationwide on the hit reality television show, Atlanta Plastic, on Lifetime.
Dr. Baron has a special interest in breast reconstructive surgeries and microsurgical (DIEP flap) breast reconstruction. As a cancer survivor herself, she can relate personally to the physical and emotional trials her patients experience during a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Her own cancer journey helped her become more understanding with her patients. She gladly goes the extra mile to ensure that all her patients are comfortable with the procedures they plan together
Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day inspires women to know that life beyond breast cancer can be very fulfilling. “All women enduring breast cancer are incredibly brave and have their own unique journey, but they are not alone. Together, we must spread the word to breast cancer patients about their breast reconstruction options. Informing women of their reconstruction options before or at the time of diagnosis is critically important to improving life after breast cancer.” states Dr. Baron.
Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day is a collaboration between the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Plastic Surgery Foundation, breast centers, nurse navigators, corporate partners and breast cancer support groups.
